Our Mission
Why
The Great Commission, as stated in Mark 16:15 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” That command was given to each of us. While we cannot all go to the far away countries, we are all responsible to share the gospel with those around us. Not only share, but to also to support those who are able to go, through prayer and financial (Faith Promise) giving.
Harvest Baptist Church of the Deaf supports 38 missionaries around the world.

Harvest Missions Conference
HBCD supports many missionaries to the deaf around the world. At our annual mission’s conferences we have opportunities to hear from, and fellowship with, visiting missionaries. Our conference starts at 7pm on Wednesday evening, with activities on Thursday and Friday evenings, and Sunday morning followed by our annual international potluck lunch. Exact schedule will be announced at our next conference.

What is Faith Promise?
Faith Promise is...
… is not a cleaver gimmick of men. The principle of faith giving is set forth in 2 Corinthians 8:1-10
Faith Promise is...
… a commitment for one year (thus, the necessity of having a missions conference each year.)
Faith Promise is ...
… is over and above your tithe of regular contributions to your church. However, it should be given just as you give your tithe – right off the top of your income.
Faith Promise is...
… not designed to any particular missionary. The church votes on distribution of funds.
Faith Promise is...
not a pledge. A pleddge is a legal, binding agreement.
Faith Promise is...
… between you and the Lord. You will never be asked for it.
Faith Promise is...
… depends, not on your ability to give, but on your faith in God to provide the means to give. (2 Cor. 8:3)
Faith Promise is...
… motivated by your love for the Lord (2 Cor. 8:8).
Faith Promise is...
… good for you and for our church (2 Cor. 8:10)
Faith Promise is...
… inclusive of every member of the family. Young and old should be taught the Biblical principle of giving.
