to Harvest Deaf Camp 2014!
Twenty-five years ago this summer, we had our first week of camp. The camp we chose that first summer of 1989 was in Canada. We chose
to host camp in Canada because the camp was so inexpensive. However, upon arrival, there were no working showers, the grass was up to our hips, and it was a mess. We mowed the grass, created some homemade showers, cleaned everything up, and on Sunday over 100 deaf showed up at camp. That year we had so many accept Christ, we knew we had to continue the next summer. We have moved camp from Canada, to PA, then VA, then back to PA, on to TN, last year AL, and this year we are back to TN. We do our best to host camp in a place that the deaf can afford so they can enjoy a precious time around God's Word. That is why we have moved so often. Although the camp has moved, the program, workers, activities, food, and most of all focus on Christ has remained the same.
Because of that first week of camp, we began our Bible College in 1994. We now have graduates serving the Lord across the globe and it all began with a simple week of camp where we had to clean, mow, and create showers. Isn't it neat how God works? He uses unexpected ways to get His work accomplished.
Join us this special anniversary year! You never know how God may work in your life during this time. To God be the glory, great things He has done! See you at Camp!!!
