Dear Friends,
 
I grew up attending a provincial or state school for the deaf in Canada. Although I appreciated my teachers and school very much, I wish I could have had a chance to attend a private Christian school. 

When my wife and I began working in full-time ministry for the deaf, we were acquainted with many Christian schools. My wife also shared the experiences she had being able to attend Christian schools in the past. My heart broke as I began to notice that there seemed to be no school of this type for the deaf. 

Harvest Deaf Bible College began in 1994 on 14 acres of beautiful property in Ringgold, GA. Almost immediately, people from around the country began asking us if we had considered beginning a school for the deaf children as well. After much prayer, consideration, and definite leading of the Lord, Harvest Christian Academy for the Deaf began. 

God has blessed with growth in both numbers and in each child's life educationally and spiritually. I praise the Lord for allowing us to be a part of this school's wonderful beginning. I love seeing these children have opportunities that I would have loved to have had.
